Project: CONVERSION OF THE "CASA DEL BEATO" INTO A HOSTEL
Date: 2022.11
Location: Niardo, Brescia, Italy
Status: Not realized

Introduction and Project Objectives
A place dear to Niardo and to the history of the village is reborn with new life thanks to the young members of the Proloco Niardo, who initiated the renovation of the Ostello del Beato Innocenzo. The building, located at Via Sommavilla 12 just a few steps from the Proloco headquarters, has been transformed into a welcoming and comfortable space. The hostel is designed as a rustic-style three-room apartment, equipped with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay.
Spaces and Comfort
The hostel includes two bedrooms: one double room and a dormitory equipped with seven bunk beds. The living area is divided into several functional zones: a dining room, a relaxation area, and a study corner, leading into a fully equipped kitchen. Immersed in the natural beauty of a village rich in culture and tourism, the complex offers an ideal environment to be enjoyed both in summer and winter.
The Oasis of Beato Innocenzo
Guests can also enjoy the adjacent oasis, a suggestive and serene place perfect for meditation and reflection. Surrounded by nature and silence, this area provides a moment of peaceful retreat and religious contemplation for those seeking tranquility.
Museums and Historical Attractions
The surrounding complex also hosts the museum of the birthplace of Beato Innocenzo, where visitors can discover the original kitchen furnished with objects and tools from the time when the Blessed lived in Niardo. In addition, the ethnographic museum MuEt preserves a rich and varied collection of ethnographic and anthropological objects. These include mainly tools of the traditional rural culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, but also extend into the industrial and post-industrial era.
A Landmark for Tourism
The Ostello del Beato Innocenzo represents a strategic accommodation point for tourists visiting Valle Camonica. Its central location allows easy access to ski resorts and hiking destinations throughout the year, making it an ideal base for exploring the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
